What is Free to Park?

Free to park is an SMS text based service, which allows the user to find totally free ALL DAY parking within walking distance of London tube stations.

When we say FREE PARKING we mean it…totally free street parking, not available spaces on paid for meters or in car parks

How does the service work?

You text the word parking and the name of a tube station (no other words or punctuation) OUTSIDE THE CONGESTION CHARGING ZONE to 80039 and by return, you receive a text giving you the names of 3 roads with the postcode for each road.

The roads are all within an approximate 5 minute walk of the station, some slightly further, but all within a 10 minute distance.

The distances aren’t “as the crow flies” but genuine and realistic walking distances to the station in question.

We have personally surveyed every single parking location we have in our database, and no roads get added unless they fulfill our strict inclusion criteria.

We are constantly looking to improve and extend the service by adding more roads and checking for any restriction changes in the areas we have already surveyed, as well as beginning work on taking the Free to Park concept into other areas.
